What Electro Was Like In Amazing Spider-Man 2 Not only that, but the movie does anything but ignore where he came from. Despite that, No Way Home has a specific role for each Spider-Man villain brought into the MCU, and Electro in particular benefits from his appearance. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 wasn't the most acclaimed of Peter Parker's big-screen stories, and the news of Foxx's return as Electro took many by surprise for that reason.
